Some of these can be done without leaving your couch as the corona virus spread continue in across the globe we are grappling with uncertainty and adopting to a newer way of life staying at home. The long weeks without stepping out might have induced a sense of helplessness about the situation at hand don't despair!

Though it may not feel like staying home,staying informed,washing hands,caring for self and loved ones are act's of bravery they are the best we can do to protect our community and indirectly the world at large.

However if you wish to be more helpful,here are some ways to be make a difference.




DONATE TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED.


DONATE TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED. While most of us have the means to get through the situation comfortably, a vast majority are not so fortunate. Crores of Indian who are a part of informal sector such as factory worker's, construction workers, street vendors, tailors, cleaners, auto drivers and many more have lost their families. If you have the means you can help out by donating money, Ration, Meals, safety kits, soaps, sanitizers, masks etc. through a trusted NGO or in your area locality or city.

REACH OUT TO YOUR HELPERS


Many domestic helpers such as maids, cooks drivers, guards etc provide essential services and help make our every day lives better,in these trying times,they are among the hardest hit with no work and loss of income. This is the best to help them and also the easiest group to reach out to. Besides raising their awareness about the virus and way to protect them selves. Consider providing them with necessary food items, masks, safety kit's etc by pooling in resources as a community.

CHECK ON ELDERLY NEIGHBOURS


Most communities have senior citizens who stay alone and are most vulnerable. Due to social isolation and without their domestic help, they may be finding it difficult to manage a little help can go a long way. You can assist them by checking on them frequently, delivering or placing online orders for food items, medicine and other essentials.

SUPPORT SMALL LOCAL BUSINESSES AND FARMERS Small businesses and farmers are struggling as the supply chain of goods is disrupted. Many farmers are forced to throw away or destroy produce,fruits and vegetables as markets are closed and there are no buyers. Some are reaching out to nearby cities and offering delivery and heavy discounts for produce through whatsapp groups,growers associations,community representative etc, harresting farmer network for instance. Buy from farmers,local shops,restaurants bakeries etc and support them during these though times they have thin margins and tight budgets, Their livelihoods are dependent on your support this is the best time to go local,spread the word on social media too!

VOLUNTEER (REMOTELY)IF POSSIBLE Coordinating between beneficiaries and relief team helping them rise fund and so on. Lastly stay in touch with family through video chats call etc as social isolation can be really difficult. Be safe,stay healthy and take care of your self and loved ones. We shall get through this together. There are people who are working on the ground and online to help facilitate relief efforts by NGO'S the city police have issued passes for same. You can physically volunteer for task such as food packaging,distribution,etc if whish to while adhering to social distancing and following all safety measures stringently,or you can offer online support from home. But there is another toll on human life that is looming large. As countries shut borders,impose lockdowns and government order everyday businesses like malls,restaurants,bars,cinema halls,etc to remain closed while trying to contain coronavirus on a war footing,people are being laid off from work and losing jobs.

In India though we have been fortunate with a low member of cases considering the size of our population it is expected to change dramatically in the next few weeks- and for this reason. The prime minister has made an appeals to each one of us to practice social distancing and be mindful of how our behavior might endanger others.

We at Waco are deeply concerned about the plight of the under-privileged and have been listening to all our partner non profit working in the front line trying to respond to the needs of disadvantaged communities at the unprecedented time. We have identified to immediate and urgent requirements to help mitigate crisis One is to try and protect the poor from covid-19 large swathes of the population have little access or the means to Offord the recommended hygiene essential to keep safe from the virus and the government's efforts contain it. So we have launched mission world against corona virus to day with the aim to provide protective sanitation kits lakh of destitute families. Abandoned elderlies,urban slum dwellers,poor cancer patients and others in need- and danger- besides these kits our NGO partners working on the ground will also distribute basic ration such as Rice and daal to save them from hunger.

The second mission we are launching to day is Mission Support Covid-19 Hit Families Specifically for daily Wage earners who have lost their means of livelihood suddenly and without warning because of coronavirus,there are an estimated 11 crores in the unorganized sector in India-many in the construction,manufacturing and hospitality industries-who have no income security or benefits of their employer decided to lay them off. Their meager earnings come to a crashing halt and lakh face starvation This mission aims to provide a safety net for such vulnerable families by directly giving them cash amounting to a minimum wage this will help put food on the plat of their children and other dependents during this crisis while they scramble to find other employment if any. Covid-19 has presented us with an unimaginable disaster,while our government and medical staff combat the public health implications at this fast spreading virus,we in Waco appeals to you to think of those Indians citizens who can't help themselves and donate generously to our mission. To make sure every rupee you give will benefit those most in need we will be bearing all payments getway cost's and passing on 100 %of your donation to the beneficiaries.
